What can I expect at a cosmetic acupuncture visit?
On your 1st visit, which is approximately an hour, a history is taken to determine your candidacy for treatment. If you are not a candidate, then the consultation is free and steps are discussed about measures that need to be taken to become a candidate. An examination follows and pre treatment pictures are taken. Acupuncture is then performed, using very fine facial needles that remain in for 20-30 minutes, depending on your needs. Post treatment skin care is then discussed, along with dietary recommendations.
Follow up visits involve an examination, answering any questions you may have, making specific recommendations followed by acupuncture. These visits typically last 45 minutes.
