Marianne Fitzgerald
Marianne was born and raised in Chicago, the fifth of six children. She enjoys close relationships with her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. She recently left the corporate world to earn her living facilitating change in individuals who are willing and able to make positive growth in their lives. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and twenty years of experience in sales, marketing and management. She is an international trainer who has presented business classes in Spanish and English.
She moved to Colorado in 2003 to study massage at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and has called Summit County home since 2004. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFFA) since 1993 and a Certified Silva Method Instructor since 2002.
Her Mission Statement:
To facilitate transformation in individuals who are willing and able to change using a body/mind/spirit approach. I acheive this through massage therapy, personal training, and teaching. What I require to be successful in this endeavor is an individual with desire to change, belief that change is possible and the ability to do whatever it takes to create the environment for transformation.
Marianne’s Experience
Through massage, she provides relief to people seeking relaxation from stressful lives, hard workouts and those recovering from injury and surgery. She brings awareness to those too busy to notice their body and facilitates a better understanding of signals to those who weren’t sure what their body was telling them.
As a personal trainer she counsels friends, family and employees to bring fitness into their lives by making friends with exercise. She coaches them to enhance their specific sport performance and designs programs to aid recovery from injury and surgery.
Through the Silva Method she teaches students to gain control of their lives by learning to use more of their mind every day. In the words of Jose Silva it is “a method to train individuals to use the alpha and theta levels for a specific purpose.” Through more complete use of the mind’s power we can all create a better place to live for ourselves, our fellow man and those who follow us.
She achieved the rank of 2nd dan in Tae Kwon Do, completed triathlons and participated in countless outdoor activities in all seasons. She sustained and recovered from injury and illness and continues to learn much about the healing process. Most recent athletic accomplishment was completing the Triple Bypass in 2007.
