Our Doctors Training
Dr Ivo Waerlop completed his training in classical acupuncture at Ames Community College in Greely, Colorado in July of 2005 under Dr Andrew Gow and Dr Mike Springfield, both NCCOM diplomates, with Dr Springfield currently serving on the Acupuncture Board. He completed his Auricular Therapy training and received is certification from the American College and Addictionology and Compulsive Disorders in February of 2006. He studied under Dr Yun Tao Ma and received his certification in Neuromuscular Acupuncture from the Biomedical Acupuncture Institute in Boulder in August of 2006. Dr Ivo lectures on neuromuscular and advanced acupuncture techniques, and is currently writing a Neuroanatomical Acupuncture Atlas with Dr Ma and Dr Allen.
Dr John Asthalter began his acupuncture and eastern medicine studies at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2003. He has also studied under Dr Yun Tao Ma and received his certification in Neuromuscular Acupuncture from the Biomedical Acupuncture Institute in Boulder in October of 2006. He has been trained in Auricular acupuncture by Dr Ivo.
